My name is Arlene Harper and my goal is to create beautiful things for women and men that are also functional.  Using materials such as wool and leather enable me to achieve this by giving  my designs a timeless beauty that is also durable.  I love strong colour and texture and incorporate them in my work.  Finding inspiration comes easily as it is all around me.  I draw from nature, people and architecture.

 

I have long since loved ancient architecture. The Pagodas of India, Portugal and the orient are breathtaking and command respect.  My signature line the Urban Pagoda is my take on those masterpieces and are truly "portable architecture" for your arm.
